We were created in early 2025 to combine and unite all Azerbaijani students across all campuses of SJTU. We aim to build a reliable peer network for academic and everyday support, help new students integrate smoothly, and create a strong sense of community. In parallel, we promote Azerbaijani culture through respectful representation and participation in university-wide activities.

SJTU.AZ was founded in early 2025 by Azerbaijani students who recognised the need for a dedicated community at one of China's most prestigious universities. What began as informal meetups grew into a structured association registered with the International Student Community at SJTU. Today we are an active presence on campus, representing Azerbaijan at university events and building a support network that every Azerbaijani student at SJTU can rely on.
